A stonesthrow from the Cheviot hills- breathtaking views, lovely walks

We are a family of four who bought a cosy caravan on a beautiful park. The van is a cosalt resort and is about 10 years old, modernly furnished with shower room and wall heaters in both bedrooms. The park is near the coast (lots of pretty beaches), a stonesthrow away from the Scottish borders and has a river running through the site for children's amusement, creating great habitat for wildlife, especially birds. There are two children's parks on site, an indoor pool, a friendly clubhouse with children's events organised in school holidays as well as a fishing lake. Towns of interest in the area include Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses (from where boats take families to the Farne Islands), Jedburgh and Edinburgh is not more than just over an hour by car. Many valleys surround the area including Ingram, College, Harthope and Happy! Walks, cycle rides, castles and history in abundance await. Cycle hire available nearby and some good pubs and eateries within a 5 minute walk from the site. The caravan has table, chairs, games for children, two children's bikes and its own car port. Heating is via gas fire with an oil filled radiator. The site also has washing and drying facilities for clothes as well as a shop for groceries and newspapers. It's a four star park and looking into being upgraded to a five star- if you like the outdoors, you won't be disappointed. Tawny and barn owls as well as oystercatchers cn be heard at night! Not too far from holy Island and castles nearby include Eglingham, Warkworth, Chillingham and Etal.
